With the AFL Grand Final live at Benny’s, you can enjoy the best footy action while indulging in delicious food!
Participating Benny’s stores are bringing together live Grand Final action and the food you want on the table while you watch. It is an easy way to turn a football match into a catch-up, a meal and a shared occasion.
For the organiser in your group, that makes the plan straightforward: choose your store, check the event details, gather your numbers and arrange your visit. Nobody needs to organise a barbecue, take everyone’s supermarket requests or spend the final quarter washing dishes.
You can focus on the football, the conversation and deciding what to order next. Friends supporting different sides are welcome to bring their friendly rivalry along, too. Just leave enough room on the table for the food.
Live and loud: make the atmosphere part of the occasion
Watching a final together changes the experience. A close score feels closer. A brilliant mark starts a conversation. Even someone who arrived mainly for lunch can find themselves following every possession as the match tightens.

Some occasions call for a knife-and-fork dinner. Grand Final day makes a strong case for a burger you can pick up with both hands. Benny’s brings an American burger focus to the table, with Australian beef smash burgers among the choices.
Experience the excitement of the AFL Grand Final live at Benny’s this footy season!
If you love a classic beef-and-cheese combination, start there. If you prefer chicken, explore the chicken options on your chosen store’s menu. Think about what you actually feel like eating, then build the rest of your order around it.
The best group order does not have to mean everyone choosing the same thing. One person can keep it classic while another goes for a more substantial burger. Having your own main also makes sharing sides easier: everyone has their meal sorted before the fries start travelling around the table.
Check the menu before arriving if your group likes to plan ahead. Otherwise, save the debate over burger choices for the build-up to the game.
Tacos, fries and something for the middle of the table
A Grand Final table does not have to stop at burgers. Tacos offer another way to put together your meal, especially when you want a change from your usual order. Fries and other available sides can complete the spread without making the planning complicated.
For a small group, begin with individual mains and agree on a few extras to share. For a larger catch-up, ask everyone what they actually want before ordering. It is a simple way to avoid both over-ordering and the familiar situation where the last handful of fries has five people watching it.
Choose from the current menu at your venue rather than assuming an item from another store is available. Explore the Benny’s website for burgers, tacos and drinks, then confirm your preferred choices locally.
Beers, cocktails and a drink to match your meal
Burgers and a cold beer are a familiar footy pairing, but everyone can make their own call. If a cocktail sounds more like your afternoon, ask the team what is available at your participating store.
Check the local drinks menu when planning your visit. Beer selections, cocktails and non-alcoholic choices can differ between venues, so let your chosen store guide the order. There is no need for everyone at the table to have the same drink to enjoy the same match.
Keep the focus on the food, the football and the company. Alcohol service is subject to responsible service requirements, and planning your trip home before you arrive makes the day easier. RSA applies at participating licensed venues.
Make Benny’s your Grand Final meeting point
A great Grand Final catch-up starts with a plan everyone can get behind. For some groups, that means arriving hungry and making lunch part of the build-up. For others, it means settling in together and letting the afternoon revolve around the match.
Start with the people you want around the table. A few close friends, a family gathering, or a catch-up with colleagues can each bring a different energy to the occasion. You do not need a huge group to make the day feel special.
Plan your afternoon around the game
Decide whether your priority is following every minute or enjoying a relaxed meal with football as part of the atmosphere. Share that plan with your group before making arrangements, so everyone knows what kind of afternoon to expect.
You can browse the Benny’s website together, compare food choices, and get your headcount organised. Then contact your preferred participating store to discuss the screening and table availability.
Give everyone something to look forward to
The dedicated supporters can bring their predictions. The food lovers can start debating burgers and sides. Anyone coming mainly for the company can enjoy having a proper catch-up on the calendar.
That mix is part of the fun. Grand Final day gives everyone a shared occasion, even when they arrive with different teams, different appetites and very different opinions about who deserves to win.
How to organise your Grand Final table
Start by getting a realistic headcount. “Everyone might come” is much harder to plan for than a clear number, even if you need to update it later. Include children in your enquiry and mention any seating or accessibility needs.
Next, contact your preferred participating store. Explain that you are enquiring specifically about the AFL Grand Final, rather than making an ordinary dining enquiry. Ask about the screening, available seating, arrival times, and any event conditions.
If bookings are available, check what the reservation includes. A dining reservation does not automatically guarantee a particular screen view or a table for the entire match. Confirm those details with the team so your group knows what to expect.
Finally, share one clear message with everyone: the confirmed store, the agreed arrival time and the booking name. A little organisation beforehand means less messaging outside the venue when the action is about to start.
Check match information before setting your arrival time
For current fixture information and announcements, use the official AFL finals website. Then check with Benny’s about the venue’s screening and service arrangements. Match information and restaurant opening arrangements are separate details, and both matter when organising your visit.
Allow enough time to meet your friends, find your table and place your first order. Ask the venue for its recommended arrival time rather than assuming doors open a set number of hours before the match.
If someone in your group is travelling from another state or following the match from elsewhere, make sure you are all talking about the same local time. Clear plans help everyone enjoy the build-up without rushing.
Make room for the whole group’s preferences
A good Grand Final plan works for the people attending. Some will want to analyse every passage of play; others will be there for the catch-up. Agreeing on the kind of afternoon you want makes choosing the venue and seating easier.
If anyone has a food allergy or dietary requirement, raise it directly with the store before ordering. Ask about ingredients, preparation, and suitable choices rather than relying on a photo or a menu description alone.
For larger groups, tell the team your numbers early and ask how ordering will work. It also helps to check payment arrangements in advance if everyone plans to pay separately. These small details leave more room for enjoying the occasion.
